As our businesses and organizations begin to re-open, consumers – our residents and visitors – are concerned about their own health and the health of those they love. The Clean Hands, Open Doors Pledge is a tool that can communicate a shared commitment to safety.

According to Longwoods International, only 13% of Americans “strongly agree” and only 25% “agree” that they would feel safe dining in a  local restaurants and shopping in local retail stores.

Taking the Clean Hands, Open Doors pledge can provide consumers peace of mind that a business is committed to high standards of cleanliness and to following guidance from health officials. However, potential customers will need to know of your commitment to the pledge.

With the Clean Hands, Open Doors pledge icon displayed by businesses and posted on their websites and in social media, customers and guests will see a link to RockfordCleanHands.com that will allow them to get details about how local entites are following – and oftentimes exceeding — public health guidance.

After taking the pledge, in just a few steps, a business can communicate its support and commitment to opening and operating in safe, responsible and sustainable manner.
